Diane Marie Elsdoerfer

Born in East Providence, Diane was the cherished daughter of the late Daniel M. and Gloria (Rosa) Isidoro. She was the beloved wife of 45 beautiful years to her soulmate, Norbert Elsdoerfer. From the moment they met, it was love at first sight, and together they built a life defined by partnership and loyalty.

Diane’s sharp mind and natural compassion guided her to a distinguished 30-year career as a hospital floor nurse. She cared for countless patients at Kent Hospital and The Miriam Hospital, earning deep respect for her skill and dedication. Diane often carried her work home with her, her deep empathy ensuring her patients received the very best care.

At home, Diane poured her creativity and joy into cooking and decorating, endeavors she excelled in. She and Norbert fulfilled a lifelong dream when they created their New Hampshire home, a place filled with many cherished family memories. Diane knew how to enjoy life: she adored her Bronco, loved dancing to live Rock n’ Roll (and her favorite boy bands), and found her ultimate happy place at the beach, where the sun and ocean air brought her pure joy.

Above all, Diane treasured her family. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could hope for; thoughtful, organized, and endlessly generous. She delighted in finding meaningful gifts, never missed an important occasion, and infused every holiday with magic. Christmas was her masterpiece: lavish decorations, delicious food, and joyful gatherings that have become cherished traditions passed down through generations.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Norbert; her devoted children, Arynn Cohoon and her husband Lincoln; Norbert Elsdoerfer, Jr. and his wife Chelsea; and Kerry McCreavy and her husband Matt. She was a devoted grandmother to Madison Cohoon, Norbert Elsdoerfer III, Hans Elsdoerfer, and Gavin McCreavy. She also leaves behind her sister, Cheryl Coderre.
