Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of Patrick J. Shanahan Jr. and Margaret (Fay) Shanahan. Beth was a devoted daughter who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Beth was a proud graduate of North Kingstown High School, Class of 1987.
In addition to her loving parents, she leaves her daughter, Meghan Shanahan; her adored grandchildren, Charlotte, Alexander, Francesca and Maeve; and her cherished sister, Kerry Greenblatt. She was a devoted aunt to Isaac, Daniel, Kaylin, and Matthew. Beth also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third Street, East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Neumann Catholic High School, 3000 53rd Street SW, Naples, FL 34116.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff of The Miriam Hospital, as well as the compassionate caregivers at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, for the exceptional care and comfort provided to Beth. A special acknowledgment is extended to Dr. Keith Cohen, Dr. Jacob Ramos, and Dr. Kyle Deerwester for their professionalism, compassion, and guidance throughout the past several weeks.
