Ellen M. Myers

She was the beloved wife of the late John T. Myers. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Owen F. and Ann (Farrelly) Goodwin.

Ellen was the loving mother of Mary Catherine Huffines (Don) of Dallas, TX, Jane Ann Degnan (Joe) of Narragansett, Thomas Myers of Mendoza, Argentina, Edward Myers (Beth-ann) of Narragansett, Kathleen E. Cotton of Franklin, TN, Michael Myers (Giselle) of Brasilia, Brazil, and Daniel Myers (Brooke) of Wheaton, IL. She also leaves 24 cherished grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and growing. She was the sister of the late Edward J. Goodwin, Mary U. Sweeney, Peter K. Goodwin, Ellen L. Goodwin, Jane A. Goodwin, Rev. Owen F. Goodwin, SSCC., Ann F. Masse, Thomas N. Goodwin, and Catherine M. Murphy.

Ellen was a woman of unwavering faith whose life was rooted in love, tradition, and devotion. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her family and guiding them in the Catholic faith. She believed deeply in the importance of passing down spiritual values and cherished the role of keeping Catholic traditions alive through generations.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 pm with her funeral on Saturday at 8:30 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Graveside burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
