Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alfred S. and Mabel C. (DeGrass) Sanders. He was the loving father of Penny Dutra Foreman and her husband Andrew Foreman; cherished grandfather of Frank Fantasia, Scott Dutra, Michael Fantasia, Christina Fantasia, Karey Dutra-Lima and her husband William, Juliana Dutra and Caleb Foreman; great-grandfather of Lincoln Scott Lima and Summer Evelyn Haduch. He was the father of the late Evelyn Fantasia and brother of the late Charles DeGrass, Roy Sanders, Pearl Dale, Ruby Johnson and Shirley Robbins.
Everett proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a machinist for Electric Boat for over 20 years until his retirement. Following his retirement, he worked for many years at Walmart in Warwick.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 25th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org
