John Henry Larch Jr.

He was born April 10, 1943 in Medford, Massachusetts to John Henry Larch and Helen (Carter) Larch.

Jack grew up in Sacramento, California and attended high school there. Upon graduation in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as an electronics technician on the USS Grand Canyon. Following his military service, he moved to Massachusetts to earn a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lowell Institute of Technology.

After college, John eventually settled in Warwick, Rhode Island with his family and worked for Narragansett Electric Company in Providence. Attending night school at Suffolk University, he went on to earn a Master of Business Administration and would ultimately manage multiple municipal electric departments in eastern Massachusetts. He also served as the President and member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC). He was a wonderful mentor and touched many with his knowledge.

Jack always enjoyed spending vacation time with the family whether it be on camping trips when the kids were young or later on during the summers at his beach house in Narragansett, Rhode Island. He was a generous man to both friends and relatives, and he loved all who knew him.

Along with his loving wife Ann Marie, he also leaves his son, John Henry Larch III and his wife Mary Ann; daughter, Heather Ann Larch Hallam and her husband Jason; sister, Sherri Weibel; and a host of other beloved family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 17th from 4-7 p.m. with his funeral service on Tuesday, February 18th at 10:30 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
