Raymond William Flynn, Jr. age 50, of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was the beloved father to Paige Alexis, Skylar Nowelle, Colby James, Emily Rae, and William Raymond Flynn.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Susan J (Dalton) Flynn of Lincoln RI and the late Raymond William Flynn, Sr.
A Connecticut College graduate, Raymond worked as an Insurance Salesman for Amica for many years. Ray loved spending his summers at Bonnet Shores with his family and his annual tradition of taking his children there on New Years Day for a Polar Plunge. Ray was an avid Boston sports fan. He was at his happiest watching his children compete in sports and succeed academically. They were truly his pride and joy.
Besides his children and mother, Raymond is survived by his sisters, Kristen J Flynn-Gormley and her husband Clement of Cranston and Melissa J Sommer and her husband John of Warwick. He also leaves behind his nephews, Thomas J. Sommer of Washington DC, Jack D. Sommer of New York City, and Matthew D. Sommer of Boston as well as many close cousins and relatives.
Ray was a friend to everyone, a genuine and loving man whose kindness and humor would light up the room. He will be missed greatly by his friends and family.
Funeral will be Monday, August 29, 2022 at 8:45 from the Russell J Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Gregory the Great, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
Family and friends may call in the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28 from 3:00-7:00 pm.
