Susan Tow

Born in Taishan, China in 1948, she was the younger daughter of the late William Tow and the late Grace (Wong) Tow of Providence, RI. She was the only sister of the late Lily (Ping Soo) Yip and sister-in-law of the late Lee (Chun Shin) Yip.

Susan and her mother left mainland China for Hong Kong by 1949. At the age of 11, she was reunited with her father in the United States and became a naturalized US Citizen.

She graduated from Hope High School in 1968 and attended Barrington College. Susan first worked for Citizen’s Bank as a teller. Later, she worked for Brooks Pharmacy and Job Lot in their purchasing departments until she retired at age 70.

Susan lived at Meshanticut Vista in Cranston for over two decades. She is survived by several nephews, their wives and children, and a niece and her niece’s husband.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 19th at 11 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
