Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William V. Gonsalves Jr. and Dorothy L. (Leonard) Gonsalves.
Along with his wife, he leaves his loving children, William J. Gonsalves, and Lynn Belanger and her husband Ken; cherished grandchildren, Megan, Kevin, Kristen, Katelyn and Bryan Belanger; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He was the grandfather of the late Lauren Belanger.
William graduated from East Providence High School in 1968. He was the owner and operator of Graphic Services of Rhode Island for many years. He later worked for the in house print shop at Rhode Island Hospital and in his retirement, he worked as a bus driver for First Student.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm with his funeral service on Saturday, November 9th at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
