

Bill was born May 30, 1943 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of Alphonso and Cecelia Salus. Most of his life was lived in New Jersey, he and his wife Joan later moved to Rhode Island to be closer to their family. He loved fishing, hunting and traveling the world.
Bill enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at McGuire Air Force Base for 4 years.
Post his honorable discharge, Bill pursued a career in printing and eventually worked for the United State Postal Service as a mail carrier.
After retirement, Bill and Joan retired in Cape May, NJ and also enjoyed their home in the Poconos with their family. He was one of the original and an honorary member of the Olde Barn Gun Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Billy. He especially enjoyed traveling adventures and time with his Grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 60 years, Joan; daughter Gloria Silvia husband Ernie of Narragansett, RI; son Billy Salus wife Cynthia of Clinton, NJ; grandchildren Marissa Silvia and Chad Silvia significant other Ariana Gonzalez; sister Jeanie Kent; bother-in-laws Joe Cordasco, Al Nastvogel and Don Kent; Godson Ray Hartmann; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased in death by his parents Alphonso and Cecelia Salus, and sisters Pat Cordasco and Cecelia Nastvogel.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 445 Washington St, Coventry, RI.
