Adele was born on August 26, 1944, in Nyack and grew up in Pearl River, NY. She built a life centered around faith, family, kindness, and caring for others. Adele was the devoted wife of Charles Berkman and the loving mother of her late daughter, Jo-Ann Curtis, and her husband Kevin; Kevin Berkman and his wife Mitzi; Jill Siruchek and her husband Jason; and Melissa Herrera and her husband Angelo.
Nothing brought Adele greater joy than her family. She had a remarkable gift for making every one of her children and grandchildren feel uniquely cherished. Her love was constant, selfless, and unconditional, and her family will forever carry that love with them.
She is survived by her cherished grandchildren: Justin Curtis and his wife, Erica; Bryanna Hartzel and her husband, Tyler; Jarred Curtis; Jacob Curtis; Lindsey Markley and her
husband, Evan; Sydney Berkman; Lily Siruchek; Sophia Siruchek; Aubrey Siruchek; Maximus Herrera; and Gabriella Herrera.
Adele is also survived by her loving brothers, Carl Angioli, whose wife Patricia Angioli predeceased him, and Vincent Angioli and his wife Denise.
Adele was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word — always taking care of everyone else’s needs before her own. She briefly worked as a medical technician and later co owned
a business, ChiroCub, with one of her closest friends, Diane. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church and an active part of the Word of Life community, where her deep faith touched many lives.
Those who knew Adele will remember her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, warm heart, and the sweetness she carried into every room. She was the kind of mother and Nonna who made every person feel special, loved, and safe. Her family was her life, and she loved
fiercely until her very last breath.
