She was born on April 20, 1936, in Moyasta, Co. Clare, Ireland, to the late Michael and Ellen Talty. In 1958, Anne and her beloved husband, Conor, immigrated to the United States, together building a wonderful life and successfully fulfilling the American dream.
Anne’s life was centered around service and devotion to her family. She dedicated her career to caring for children with developmental disabilities before retiring in 1994. In retirement, she found her true calling as a grandmother—spending her days investing her heart, time, and wisdom into her grandchildren and leaving behind a rich legacy of unconditional love. She was also a faithful and active parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Washingtonville.
Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Conor Cahill; her daughters, Colleen Anne Fayo and Margaret P. Stevens; her son, Gerard Michael Cahill; her sisters, Mary Coughlin, Nora Talty, Christina Dixon, and Theresa Wolisley; and her brothers, John, Michael, Steven, and Martin Talty.
She is survived by her loving children: Theresa (Daniel) Holeski of Spanish Springs, NV; Conor (Angie) Cahill of Waterford, VA; and Dennis (Kelly) Cahill of Lower Gwynedd, PA. She also leaves behind a proud legacy of 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
