Charles Joseph Davis, 84, passed away on August 29, 2026. Born on June 20, 1942, in Rockville Centre, New York, he was the son of the late Thomas C. Davis and Evelyn H. Rice. Charles grew up in Blooming Grove, NY, and went on to proudly serve his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was married for more than 50 years to the love of his life, Mary Ann Davis (née Folino), who was originally from Warwick, NY. Together, they raised their family in Goshen, NY. Mary Ann predeceased him in 2020. He is survived by their two sons, Marc Davis and his wife Kelly, and Matthew Davis and his wife Diane; and his three cherished granddaughters, Abigail, Alexandra, and Addison. Charles was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. He especially treasured every moment with his granddaughters, taking great joy in driving them to their soccer and tennis activities and watching them play. Charles built a long and distinguished career as an engineer with International Paper, where he contributed to numerous patents—a source of lasting professional pride. An avid gardener and reader, Charles also loved the island of Aruba, where he and his family returned for well over 20 years of shared, memorable vacations. Charles will be deeply missed and remembered for his quiet strength, intellectual curiosity, generosity of spirit, and the profound love he showed his family.
