Eleanor "Vikki" Victoria Schienvar

Eleanor “Vikki” Victoria Schienvar, formerly of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, under the compassionate care of Kaplan Hospice in Newburgh, New York. She was 87 years old.

Born on May 28, 1939, in the Bronx, New York, Vikki was the daughter of the late Anthony Karl and Wanda Bojnowicz Karl.

Vikki was an accomplished quilter, an avid artist, and an animal lover. Throughout her life, she found great joy in the companionship of her many beloved pets, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Vikki was devoted to her family and cherished the many relationships she built throughout her life. She is survived by her twin brother, Leslie Karl and his wife, Natalie, of Rock Tavern, New York; her stepsons, Steven Schienvar and his wife, Paula, of Naples, Florida, and Glenn Schienvar and his wife, Roni, of Scarsdale, New York. She leaves behind five beloved grandchildren: Rachel, Samantha, Max, Samuel, and Daniel. Vikki is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Nicholas Karl, Eric Karl, Deborah Pederson, Kimberly Kenny, Susan Karl- Standish and their respective families.

Vikki was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stuart K. Schienvar, who passed away in March 2023.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vikki’s life and honor her memory. Funeral service details will be announced by the family.
