Ellen Hallinan, a resident of Washingtonville, NY, passed away on May 16, 2026. She was 89 years old. Ellen was born on August 27, 1936, in Ireland to the late Michael and Bridget (McPartlan) Carrigan. She started her life on the family farm in Ireland and came to NYC at 19 years old with her sisters. After a couple of years of adventures and misadventures, she met and married William Hallinan and settled down to raise her children.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children, Susan, Billy, Colette, Jeannie, her sister Elizabeth, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and siblings: Mary, Bridget, Kathleen, Joseph, John, and twin Josephine.
