George D. Mann Sr., born on February 26, 1956, in Goshen, passed away on June 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of honor, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, George served his country with courage and distinction, living a life defined by loyalty, discipline, and integrity.
George dedicated much of his life to serving others through his work in human services and community support. He worked at Camp LaGuardia with Volunteers of America from 1984 to 2007, and later with AHRC of Orange County from 2007 to 2020, where he continued his lifelong commitment to helping individuals and strengthening his community.
He was a devoted husband, father, stepfather, son, and brother who placed family above all else.
George is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy Mann, and his devoted wife, Deborah Mann. He is also survived by his children, Dorothy Mae Muntz, George D. Mann Jr., and his stepson Steven Gilbert. He leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his brothers, Gary Cooper, Mike Mann, Jeff Mann, and Todd Mann, and his sister, Robin Mann, along with extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
He was predeceased by his father, Ollie Mann; his brother, Ronnie Mann; his sister, Sabrina Mann; and his daughters, Lisa Gilbert Kotti and Leanna Gilbert, all of whom he is now reunited with in eternal rest.
George will be remembered for his strong work ethic, steady character, and generous heart. He was a man who valued service, family, and loyalty, always willing to help others and stand by those he loved.
