The son of the late Henry H. and Gertrude Young, he was born on December 18, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY. He was a graduate of Washingtonville Central High School. Howard was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Legion, and past Post Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8691, in Washingtonville.
Howard is survived by a brother, Henry G. Young and lifelong friend, Suzie Davies (Haynes).
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Young.
Visitation will be held at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street Washingtonville, NY 10992 on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 12-4PM.
In lieu of flowers, Howard requested donations to the Parkinson's Foundation.
