John wore many hats in his life, first a son, then a husband, then a father, then a grandfather, and most recently, a great grandfather. In every capacity, he was beloved by all. He has left this world leaving behind only his physical presence; memories abound all of us whom he’d touched throughout his long and busy lifetime. Survived by his wife, two sons, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild, he has embarked upon his next chapter, and is sure to impress all along his continued journey.
John embraced many cherished roles throughout his life: first as a beloved son, then as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and, most recently, a joyful great-grandfather. In each of these roles, he touched the lives of those around him with love, kindness, and unwavering dedication, earning the admiration and affection of family and friends alike.
Although his physical presence is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was one of purpose, generosity, and enduring connection.
John is survived by his devoted wife, his brother, his two sons, two daughters-in-law, four cherished grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss him. As he embarks on his next journey, we take comfort in knowing that the same remarkable spirit that enriched our lives will continue to shine beyond this world.
Visitation will be held at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992, on July 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at St Mary's Church, 42 Goshen Ave, Washingtonville, NY 10992, on July 23, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by Burial at St. Raymond Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465, on July 23, 2026.
