Bernard Baker, age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Baker and sister, Shirley Gigowski. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Brenda Baker, James (Amy) Baker, Nancy (Mark) Miller, and Bonnie (Jeff) Veenkant; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bernard loved his family and passed on his work ethic and valuable life lessons. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army. Bernard was stationed in Germany and remained connected throughout his life to a few very good friends from his service.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 with an hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 4125 18th St, Dorr, MI 49323. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
