Corlyss Kay Leach

Corlyss Leach age 74 of Wayland, passed away quietly with loved ones in her home, after a long struggle with cancer, on Monday, May 2, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Smith and Carmine Sheldon-Smith; brothers Kenneth Smith and Volney Smith and her sister Colleen Smith-Marquard.  Corlyss is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary Leach; children: Tina (Brian) Collings, Penny (Dale) Kaminski, Julie Leach, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister Carolyn Derby, sister-in-law Patty Zoulek, brother-in-law Bill Leach, sister-in-law Linda Leach and several nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 am Friday at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St. Wayland.  Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St. Wayland with the rosary starting at 6 pm and one hour prior to Mass at church on Friday.  The family welcomes memories and messages in their online guest book at www.kubiakcook.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Spectrum Hospice or St. Therese Church.
