

Ed was born January 10, 1949, in Plainwell, Michigan, to Edward and Bertha (Standish) Miner. On October 21, 1967, he married the love of his life, Diana (nee Fair). They shared 57 wonderful years together filled with love. Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family deeply. He found great joy in the simple things—spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diana; children Edward B. Miner Jr. and Sonya (Tom) Elliott; grandchildren Samantha (Michael) Veenstra and Jennifer (Cody) Williams; great-granddaughter, Scarlett; and a great-grandson on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis (Roxie) Miner and sister-in-law, Audrey Miner; uncle, Bob (Sue) Standish; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Miner.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), 312 N. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348. A funeral service celebrating Ed’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), with visitation one hour prior to the service. In memory of Ed and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayland Area Emergency Medical Service or a charity of one’s choosing.
