Gary Lee Leach, age 86 of Wayland, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 16, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Moody and Marjorie Leach; wife, Corlyss; brother, Billy Leach; brother-in-law, Jim Zoulek; son-in-law, Brian Collings; and nephew, Ron Zoulek. He is survived by his daughters Tina Collings, Penny (Dale) Kaminski, and Julie Leach; sister, Patty Zoulek; sister-in-law, Linda Leach; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and special friend and driver Ronnie Honke.
Gary proudly served his country for eight years in the Army Reserves. Gary treasured family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Gary enjoyed cruising downtown Wayland in his scooter car. Gary was a faithful, longtime member of St. Therese of Wayland, where he was an usher and volunteer for many activities.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and visitation from 10 a.m. until the beginning of Mass.
