Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors camping. He also enjoyed playing cards and bowling, and especially time spent with his family.
Joseph served his country in the United States Army in the 75th Field Artillery Regiment. He will be deeply missed.
Joseph will be remembered by his wife of 48 years, Anna Larson; sons Joseph Larson Jr., Anthony Larson, Johan Larson, Andrew Larson, and William Larson; siblings Karen (Jim) Baker, Gary Larson, and Joan McConnon; sister-in-law, Carol Ford; brothers-in-law Kenneth Ford Sr. and Thomas Ford; and many nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Elizabeth Larson; sister, Elsie Claflin; brothers Pete Larson and Terry Larson.
Joseph will be laid to rest at 12 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, 2894 Patterson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.
