Joseph Peters

Mr. Joseph Peters, age 62, of Hopkins, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was born March 15, 1951 to Russell and Leola Peters. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell, his sister Kathy Adams, and his nephew, Ben Scholma. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Rita Peters; his children, Joe (Carolyn) Peters Jr., Chad Fires, Kerry (Brian) Feirick, Stephanie (Jason) Myaard, Bo (Melanie) Peters, Amber (Darrel) Peters, and Kelly Pruett. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who he cherished, Aaron Fires, Sierra Fires, Jordan Comer, Mackinzie Comer, Caden Peters, Haylie Peters, Gavin Peters, Andrew Feirick, Jacob Feirick, Felicia Feirick, Julianna Peters, Cassandra Peters, Luke Peters, Erika Simpson, Ed Mellema, and Cody Peters. In addition, he is also survived by his siblings, Don (Paula) Peters, Russell (Mary) Peters, Jimmy Peters, Diana Peters, Bradley Peters, and Brenda (Pat) Gensler. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 AM, August 10, 2013 at Banner of Christ Church, 1111 68th St. SW, Byron Center. Relatives and friends may meet his family Thursday from 5-8 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St. Dorr, MI 49323.
