Kathleen Cocayne

Kathleen Cocayne, age 68 of Dorr, passed away at her home May 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Eunice Cocayne, her brother James Cocayne, and her Aunt and Uncle Lois and Albert Podhajsky. She will be lovingly remembered by Jeff and Lydya Hulst and Erika, Nicolas, Jessica, and Annika Hulst; her cousins: Tom and Vicky Podhajsky, Michael Podhajsky, David and Irene Podhajsky and Lori and Rick Speck. Kathy was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Parish. She retired after 29.5 years from the Grand Rapids Press as a Color Press Operator. Kathy's dear friend, Marilyn Gigowski, spent many of Kathy's final days with her. Kathy cherished Marilyn and her whole family. She was a lifelong animal lover and filled her home with special pets who she adored. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Kathy's family will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, June 2, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Dorr, 4330 18th Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Tuesday, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Stanley Witek presiding. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Faith Hospice or a local animal shelter.
