Lloyd John DeYoung Jr., born August 19, 1942 to Lloyd Sr. and Henrietta DeYoung, passed away December 25, 2022 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary; and brother, Claude DeYoung.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Sharon Doxey Peet DeYoung; children Marybeth (Russ) Reber, Lisa (Todd) Yung, Lloyd (Deb) DeYoung, Mike (Lisa) DeYoung; stepchildren Brad Peet and Stacey (Ryan) Myers; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Don DeYoung; sister-in-law, Mary Jane DeYoung; and many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd served proudly in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Lloyd was able to fix anything, from remodeling, woodworking, car repairs, building a 1923 T-bucket hot rod from the ground up. He enjoyed RC plane flying, fishing, and hunting.
Most of all, he enjoyed spending the last nine years (our happy place) wintering in Bradenton, Florida.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Wayland Christian Reformed Church, 303 E. Elm St., Wayland, MI. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.kubiakcookwayland.com.
