He was born September 15, 1945, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Lloyd Thomas Jarman Sr. and Vagena Geraldine Sommerville Jarman.
Lloyd married Marian Frances Peters on August 19, 1972. They celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Lloyd attended Wayland Union Adult Education and worked as a journeyman welder. During his career, he worked for Gordon Manufacturing and Steelcase Inc. He retired in May 2001. Lloyd also served in the military, attaining the rank of Private First Class (E-3) and earning recognition as a sharpshooter.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Marian Jarman; children Lloyd T. Jarman III (Laura), Cherry Huss (Tony), Theodore Jarman (Marcie), Dwayne Jarman, Ivy Winwood (Anthony), and Mageze Iyawabay; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings James Jarman (Janet), Lonnie Jarman (Pardene), Bonnie Adams (Randy), and Tonya Giovannetti (Kaiser); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Jarman and Vagena Remington; children Kim Kesler (Paul) and Terisa Jarman; and siblings Vagena McDonough, Judy Cox Nice, John Jarman, Connie Jarman, and Hallie Jarman.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services – Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348. A funeral service celebrating Tom’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12 at Luella Collins Community Center, 419 126th Ave, Shelbyville, MI 49344, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior.
