Loy Lynn Dykstra, age 79 of Wayland, went to be with his Lord and Savior September 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by parents Louis and Laura Dykstra. Loy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Darlene; his children: Laura and Rick Miller, Daniel and Ellen Dykstra, Loren and Julie Dykstra, Kevin and Ronda Dykstra, Todd and Missy Dykstra and his 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Loy was a U.S. Navy veteran. His passion was farming and had been a lifelong farmer alongside his wife and children. Friends may visit with Loy's family on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6-9 PM at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 AM at Calvary Church of Wayland with Pastor Greg Carlson officiating, followed by military honors. Interment will be at Jones Cemetery.
