Margaret Heibel

Margaret M. (Rewa) Heibel, age 93 of New Salem, went to be with her Lord and Savior June 26, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Cletus; her daughter Monica England; her sons-in-law: George Chismar and Eugene Striegle, Sr.; and several brothers and sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Dorothy Chismar, Ruth Striegle, Linus (Nancy) Heibel, Tarsie (Neil) Thompson, and Marian (Russ) Richardson; son-in-law Jamie England; 18 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Florence Squire, Agnes Lenhart, and Irma Weber; brother-in-law Garnie Lain; sisters-in-law: Alyce (Felipe) Martinez and Gabriella Rewa; and many nieces and nephews. Margie was a lifelong resident of the New Salem area and was a member of the St. Mary's Visitation Parish. Margie lived fully engaged and interested in life until her final day. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Margie's family will be held 2 to 5 Sunday, June 29, with a scripture service at 5 PM, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Dorr, 4330 18th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Monday, June 30, at St. Mary's Visitation Church, Byron Center. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Rodrigo celebrant. In honor of Margie, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Holland Hospice.
