My niece Patience will always be remembered for her spunk, her courage, and her infectious laugh. Many great memories growing up with her. We always had fun playing Beauty Salon owner, ice cream store (she was always the owner-the rest of us were her assistants...LOL). The contests we all did as kids...most bowls of ice cream in the shortest time, how many baked potatoes, mashed, you could fit on a plate....it was endless, but a lot of fun with her. I worked many third shifts with patience at Byron Manor and never once was it hard to stay awake working with her, she was so full of life and happiness and we could talk all night long and her laugh was priceless:) She was so caring toward the residents and cared so much about her family. i could tell she was a strong woman from the first day we worked together she was a real go getter! We had so many fun memories growing up.  My dad tells how Patience remembered weeding the corn at the Harris farm.  All the cousins would be together and he'd send us out to work.  Now that I'm a parent I recognize they probably needed a break from all of us kids!  I'm not sure we were very good at weeding the corn.  I remember once when we visited their home in G. R. Patience and my brother were out in a boat.  She was rowing and Matt was fishing.  I was SAFELY on shore watching them navigate the waters... Matt cast his line and WHACK it hooked my finger and my cousin just kept on a rowing.  YOUCH.   Sometimes love hurts!  Just like saying goodbye - but really it's more of a 'see you later - cousin' as we will be together in heaven having a great time again.    My heart grieves for the emptiness that Pam, Eric, Cody & Jerry will experience in the time being.  My prayer is that God fills them with his loving comfort, presence and peace - with precious memories and happy thoughts of times past.  Please know how much you are loved and that being family and children of God makes our hearts bond even when we can't be there with you.  MUCH LOVE - The Corey's. Patience was my best friend she was always there for me no matter what was going on we could talk for hrs. She started off as my boss and from the moment she hired me we were friends. She was so strong and worked really hard. Last summer she would come to the park with me and my daughters and bring them coloring books and run and play with them she was so sweet I just can't believe she is gone.
