Paul’s most meaningful pursuit in life was his personal relationship with the Lord, which began at the age of 25, and the study of His word. Sharing this with as many as possible was his greatest life achievement. The words of his favorite hymn, “At Calvary,” best describes the depth of his journey and faith. This legacy he leaves with his family and its future generations.
He will be loving remembered by his wife of 64 years, Ohnalee Eggleston Bloem; his children Norma Ulichnie, Laura (Ron) Strouse, Carlen (Larry) Timm, Wanda Vandefifer, Shelia (Duane) Davis, Ohnalee (Mark) McKitrick, Paul (Stephanie) Bloem, and David Bloem; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; surviving brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Tony Ulichnie and granddaughter, Samantha Kay Davis.
In honor of Paul, contributions may be made to the Wayland Community Church, 502 West Superior Street, P.O. Box 4, Wayland, MI, 49348, for the construction of a handicap accessible ramp at the church building.
A memorial service honoring Paul’s life and legacy will be held at a later date. Only one life, ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.
The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.kubiakcook.com.
