Denny Weber told me a story today about Pete. His parents, Uncle Jerry and Aunt Katie Weber were sitting in church when a glass eye fell out of choir loft into their pew. They knew who's it was. Rest in Peace, Pete.

It is very sad to hear about the passing of Uncle Pete. Despite his piratical look, he was the ultimate kindly uncle, always interested in and thoughtful of his wayward niece whenever I turned up (which wasn't often enough). Visiting Michigan will not be the same without him. Deepest sympathies to everyone in the family, especially Marsha, Mike and Tim.

Pete, old friend, how I’m going to miss you. But the many good times will not be gone from the memories shared with him by Tom, me, and our girls. Marsha, Mike and Tim, I’m sure you already know that our family grieves with yours. He was loved by many. A truly good man.
From your “not” Aunt Jo and Uncle Tom.

Dear Marcia & family, our deepest condolences to you all. We always enjoyed anytime spent with Pete. There were always good stories & hearty laughter all the while the work did get done! Never really seen him out of sorts and always willing to pitch in to lighten the load. Pete helped me with a few college picks in the company pool...being true to the Fighting Irish, he was knocked out before the final four. However, I not picking Notre Dame, made it to the end. Feeling somewhat obliged for his assistance, John and I wrapped a pair of Notre Dame pom poms we had at our house and left them on his desk. When Pete unwrapped them, he was somewhat pleased and did the entire fight song and cheer using the pom poms...sure wish I was in the office that day! We could never get him to do the motions again but he had sung for us a time or two. Pete also had great socks and they, too, were the topic of many conversations. A life well lived and helping so many along the way. We will miss you. Rest in peace. John and Patty Koval
