Philip Anthony Liszewski, age 67 of Wayland, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Elizabeth Johnson and Aloysius Anthony Liszewski. Phil will be lovingly missed by his wife of 42 years, Desiree Lynn Liszewski; children Jordan Philip Liszewski (Melissa Winkler) and Jessie Marie Belote (Patrick Belote); grandchildren Benton Winkler-Liszewski, Beylin Winkler-Liszewski, Bowwen Winkler-Liszewski, Bryton Winkler-Liszewski, Miles Belote, Iris Belote; siblings Kathy Dickenson (Ed Dickenson), Rick Lewis (Lori Lewis), Sharon Featherly, Linda Brondige (Jim Brondige), Cindy Ray (George Ray), Mary McDaniel (Kevin McDaniel), Betsy Bombalski (Dave Bombalski); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Phil was an avid craftsman. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry, making furniture, wooden games, shelving, and whatever else he was asked to try. He could make or fix just about anything with his hands, a skill that he lovingly passed down to his son. He loved photography, especially landscapes. He also passed down his love of music, books, and writing to his daughter. Rock hunting with his wife was a passion, as well as trail walking with his dogs. "Boilerman" was also passionate about solving puzzles of all sorts, a skill he used daily in his job as a plumber and at home in his free time. Most of all, though, Phil was a patient, caring, gentle man, whose presence will live on in all the people he loved while on Earth.
