Robert "Chip" Chipman, age 72, of Wayland, formerly of Ludington, passed away, Friday, July 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Chipman and his sister, Mary Anne Chamberlain of Virginia. Chip is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Mike) Bancino, Sherri (Brent) Van Aartsen, Shelli (Greg) Besteman; and his grandchildren, Madalyn, Luke, Lindsay, Emily, Casandra, Benjamin, Joshua and Noah. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending much of his time hunting and fishing. Chip also enjoyed watching races, especially NASCAR and Indy races. He worked as a truck driver for Tyce Buursema hauling watermelons and other produce. A time for relatives and friends to celebrate Chip's life with his family will be held 3 PM Thursday, August 1st at the American Legion, 318 N. James St. Ludington, MI 49431.
