Ronald Francis Belka

Ron was born on July 22, 1940, in Wayland, MI to Frank Belka and Ruth Belka (nee Kleibusch). He attended St. Therese Catholic School and Wayland High School.

Ron was a man of simple pleasures and steadfast routines. He worked for General Motors in various capacities for 30 years and was a proud UAW member. After retirement, he spent many years living in Irons, MI, where he made many new friendships and enjoyed a quiet lifestyle. Ron enjoyed car races, car shows, snowmobiling, target practice, morning coffee with friends, and collecting everything.

He is survived by his children Kim Belka (Mike Nieusma), Lisa (Mark) Bartholomy, Amie (Don) Benedict, Kirt (Keri) Belka, Keith (Laurie) Belka, Kevin (Cary) Belka, Cory (Amanda) Belka; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney (Cheryl) Belka; and his former wife, Penny Collison. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kelly Belka.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, MI 49348, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior. A graveside committal will be held following Mass at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you simply take a quiet moment to appreciate the people you love.
