Susan “Susie” Bowen, age 63, went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Janis Predum. She is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Jason (Effie) McCarren; grandson, Peter McCarren; siblings A.J. (Michelle) Predum, Mark (Mily) Predum, Mary (Dan) Davis, Matt (Patti) Predum; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Susie was a devout wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved spending time with her family. She and Bob loved to cruise, especially enjoying their stops in St. Thomas and St. John. She made the lives of those with whom she came into contact better through her constant positive attitude and will be dearly missed by all.

Due to the current health crisis, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Susie, memorial contributions may be made to Kid's Food Basket of Grand Rapids or to a charity of your choice. Bob and family,

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Susie’s passing. She was always such a bright spot in my day and one of my favorite patients/people in the Dental office!
She brought treats in for us EVERY time she came in!!! She always had a funny story to share and had us all laughing!
She was the most positive and happy person!
She will be greatly missed.
Sending prayers for all family and friends.

Susie, Susie, Susie-Cruisie...
Her name is like her...a melody like no one has ever quite heard of nor could ever fully grasp the specialness of. Wrapped up in one amazing package of sweetness, teasing, kindness, fun, quick-wittedness, one of a kind genuine goodness.
She was our favorite go-to huggable gal that would make us all feel better kind of person here at RAWM...she is and will always be so greatly missed. God, thank you for sharing her with us here for a little while. Help us to always remember to let her smile and happiness shine within us.... all the way to heaven and back again..

To the Predum and Bowen Family: What sad news of the loss of a dear neighbor and friend. I will never forget what fun it would be to have her around, I miss the entire family. She was so excited about Jason and Wayne's friendship and was constantly trying to keep up with everyone.
Susie would pop by the house and spend a couple of minutes to check on us. She was a loving and caring person. I bet Mom and Dad are excited to see her. She will be a great loss to everyone. Hugs and prayers during this difficult time to all of you.

Predum and Bowen families,
The world has lost an important person to teach us how to be a true friend and inspiration to all. Her contagious smile and bubbly attitude from childhood on through the years has brightened the lives of many. May her inner light continue to shine on everyone and spread the peace and joy she showed while on this earth. May your precious memories carry you through this difficult time. Sending all of you many hugs and prayers. Norm and Dorothy

Susie's Family,
I started a new job at RAWM 7 months ago. Guess who greeted me and made me feel welcome from day 1? Of course it was Susie!! We had many talks about her family and GRANDSON. Every day Susie made a point to say hello and wish a beautiful day to everyone she came in eye shot of.
With her passing I just want to share what your beautiful Wife, Sister, Mother and Grandmother brought to my life.
I woke up one morning and she was my first thought of the day. As I went about my morning duties. A realization came to me.
I only knew Susie from 8 hours of work 5 days a week. I didn't know her social status or her monetary situation. I say this because it is what most people think make a life well lived. When it is my time to go home to be with the Lord I want to be a Susie!
I want to be thought of with a smile on a face, joy provided to one's heart and the discussion of my love that was shared every single day! This is what makes a GREAT LIFE and this is how I will remember our Susie.
My beautiful friend you were already an Angel on Earth. Now it's time to support those wings while dancing in the field of glory.
Until we meet again my friend!!!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
