

A visitation will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck, MN. There will be a visitation at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Wayland, Michigan from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland, MI immediately following the visitation, with a luncheon to follow at the VFW Club.
Terrie was born March 27, 1946 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Clyde and Lois (Walton) Brown. She grew up on the family dairy farm and later the family golf course when they converted the farm to the Byron Hills Golf Course when she was a teenager. She graduated from the Byron Center High School in Michigan in 1964. She completed the Chic School of Cosmetology trade school while still in high school. Terrie was united in marriage to Barry Belka August 8, 1971 in Barry County, Michigan. She worked as a cosmetologist in Michigan from 1964 until she retired from the New Design Hair Salon in 1993. She and Barry moved to rural Blackduck, Minnesota in 2016 and have resided there since. She was a VFW Auxiliary member. She enjoyed art, hiking, canoeing, and golfing. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed her international trips to Japan, Africa, and other countries. Family was very important to Terrie as she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the family matriarch and she was always taking care of and worrying about everyone. Keeping Barry in line was one of her favorite full-time jobs.
Terrie is survived by her loving husband, Barry Belka of Blackduck, MN; son, Brad (Michelle Marceau) Belka of Wayland, MI; daughter, Niki (Festus) Rockensock of Blackduck, MN; brother, Beryl (Laura) Brown of Grant, MI; sister-in-law, Rita (Bill) Martin of Middleville, MI; 10 grandchildren Taylor (Cody Erickson) Bird of MN, Tyler (Macie) Bird of MN, Boyd (Josie) Belka of MI, Tori Bird of MN, Brody (Jordyn) Belka of MI, Angelo House of MI, Noelle House of MI, Riley Rockensock of MN, Mia House of MI, and Kaelan Rockensock of MN; six great-grandchildren Declan, Reymi, Collins, Paden, Trigg and Everly, all of MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Lois Brown; sister, Lisa Brown; father and mother-in-law, Edwin and Delores Belka; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, and dear friends. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.kubiakcookwayland.com in their online guestbook.
