He was also an avid reader (especially science fiction and philosophy) and enjoyed writing poetry, tinkering with anything mechanical, camping, and cribbage.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and team at the Laurels of Sandy Creek for their care and compassion for Wade these past four years.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service remembering Wade will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Wayland United Methodist Church, 200 Church St., Wayland, MI 49348, with visiting one hour prior to the service. In memory of Wade and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayland United Methodist Church. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.kubiakcookwayland.com in Wade’s online guest book.
