

Kenneth Harvey Stewart died peacefully at his home in Lexington, Kentucky on November 5, 2014. He was born August 9, 1930 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Caleb Kenneth Stewart and Margaret Harvey Stewart.
He served in the Navy from 1948 until 1952. Following his service he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1956.
A lifelong student of genealogy he was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Deceased are his wife, La Donna Jean Carroll; his son, James Ramsay Stewart, M.D. ; and a brother, Carter Stewart.
Surviving are sons, Kenneth Eric Stewart and John Michael Stewart of Lexington, Kentucky, and his daughter, Leslie Stewart Scott of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and their families. He is additionally survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret (Peg) Jackson of Waynesburg; and a brother David Stewart of Bridgeport, WV.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 with Rev. Scott Lawrence officiating followed by interment in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville with graveside military honors by American Legion Post 330 and the U.S. Navy.
