

She was born February 9, 1945 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Edith Palmer Cooney.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Mt. Oliver.
Mrs. Ferguson was a former resident of Whitehall where she worked as a police dispatcher for the Borough of Whitehall for 32 years. She resided in Brave for past 14 years.
Mrs. Ferguson served as treasurer for the Women’s Auxiliary of the Wayne Township Fire Dept. She volunteered for the community food bank in Spraggs and for other charitable causes.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and chatting with her friends on the internet.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Bosle of Brave; 3 grandchildren, Erika Bosle, Kaitlin Bosle, and Jonathan Bosle;2 great-grandchildren, Zoey Taylor and Brayden Mattei; 3 brothers, Butch, Jim, and Bob Cooney, all of Pittsburgh; and one sister, Edie Fabio of Henderson, NV.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017 with Rev. David S. Lake officiating followed by burial in Phillips Cemetery in Wayne Township.
