Sandra Grimes Cheek

She was born on August 9, 1940, in Holbrook, PA to Leroy E. Grimes and Mary Frances Grimes. She was a 1958 graduate of West Greene High School. She worked many years at Juniata Valley Bank and Bank of Pennsylvania. She was an advocate for MH-MR. She enjoyed traveling, backporch sunsets, shopping and eating out with Price, and looking over her farm and calves. She was the best cook - especially when it came to baking breads and candy. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Price A. Cheek; daughters, Tina Frownfelter (Skip) and Mary Beth Gipe; grandchildren, John E. Frownfelter IV, Carrie Sue Frownfelter, and Price A. Gipe; and great-grandchildren, Emily Gipe, Logan and Tyler Frownfelter, and Mariah and Price Gipe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Cheek; son-in-law, Jeff Gipe; and siblings, Carol Buckley and Donald Ray Grimes.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Sunday, September 6 from 3 PM to 6 PM and the funeral service at 6 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370; burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandra's memory to Fayette Friends and Animals Shelter or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
