My condolences to the Shimek family. I had the pleasure of watching Ron work his magic at short for those great Jefferson Hotel fast pitch teams of the seventies and also got to play some slow pitch with him during my days with the Hotel. He was a heck of a good guy. RIP Automatic!

We will not forget how he was always welcoming when our kids were younger and Uncle Nelson and Aunt Alberta would stay with us and he would say “bring them with you too the kids will love the pool”! Always talking sports! May your memories of him be very deeply rooted in your hearts where no one can take them away and may our thoughts and prayers help you get through the times ahead.

My condolences to the family.

I remember Ron as a very proud man of the accomplishments his family. He was a man that always had something good to say, and was someone that I always enjoyed seeing, and talking with at the course. Our conversation always revolved around baseball, and the team I was helping coach. I will miss my conversations with him, and the kindness that he always provided to me.

I enjoyed playing a round a golf with him, his was a fantastic golfer, and even a better person. It certainly will not be the same not seeing Ron all the time.
