

He was born on August 25, 1936 in New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late Glen and Edith Riggenbach.He was a graduate of West Virginia University in Geology and Mathematics. He taught at West Greene High School and then at Central Greene High School in Waynesburg, where he retired in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Riggenbach; son, Eric Riggenbach; and brother, Ronnie Riggenbach.
Surviving family includes sons, Jay (Amber) Riggenbach, Scott Riggenbach, and Richard "Mitch" Riggenbach, all of Waynesburg; grandchildren, Alyssa Siordia of Waynesburg, and Dalton Riggenbach of Daisytown, PA.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and tennis. He could be often seen hauling his canoe on many float trips with his many fishing buddies. His knowledge of the outdoors was an amazing part of who he became. He will be dearly missed by his sons, friends, and family - which include his fellow teachers and neighbors - and who has fond memories of him at family gatherings.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 3 from 5 PM until the time of service at 7 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370.
