She was married to Lewis T. Simmonds for 63 years. Ada had a career as a bookkeeper for Calculators Inc., St. Clair Equipment, and 8 years as a lunch lady at Brookside Intermediate CCISD. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by daughter Judy Simmonds; parents Carl and Audrey McIntyre; brother Robert McIntyre; sister Doris Warren; in laws Lewis and Viola Simmonds; son in law Timothy Ireland.
She is survived by husband Lewis T. Simmonds; daughters Kathy (Ron) Sommers of Colorado, Terrie Ireland of Cocoa Florida, Debra Johnston of Friendswood Texas, Susan (Justin) Rank of Webster Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Sister Sabra Spain and numerous family and friends.
