Adela Foote passed away August 17, 2014 in Pasadena, Texas, at the age of 90. She was born on November 3, 1923 in Zuehl, Texas to Alfonso and Adela Valdez. Adela loved to tell her family the story of how she traveled to Houston from the San Antonio area in a covered wagon. In her younger years, she loved to go dancing and frequented the balls at the Rice Hotel in downtown Houston. Adela loved music and playing the organ, she loved playing bingo whenever she could. She had an amazing sense of humor and even during difficult times in her life, she never lost the wonderful gift of having this sense of hers. Adela worked for her Father in the late 1940’s delivering spices for the family business. Adela received great enjoyment and was involved in Little League Baseball activities with her sons. When she wasn’t watching her sons play, she was tuned into the Houston Astros and was an avid member of their fan club, sometimes finding time to watch a Houston Rockets game or two. Adela is survived by her loving family and a host of loving friends.
