Albert L. “ Sonny “ Grant, age 55, passed away peacefully at his home in League City, Texas on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Born on July 14, 1969 in Gainesville, Florida to Al and Zera ( Smith ) Grant. Sonny was a 1988 graduate of Garner High School. With an adventurous heart and a love for traveling. Sonny began training in martial arts as a young teenager and for many years worked faithfully to strengthen his body in the gym. Following an exemplary thirty-five year career in printing, his zest for life pushed him to follow his heart and relocate to Texas to live near the gulf coast with his devoted wife, Karen, and their beloved two dogs, Thor and Loki.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Zera Grant, and his sister Frances. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Grant, his sister, Sherry (Turi) Noles, his niece Ashley (Randall) Wilson, his nephew, Alexander Guerrero, his great niece and nephew London and Maddox, and mother-in-law Gale “ MaMa “ Creech.
A memorial service will be held on April 26, 2025 at 11:00 at Hilltop Church located at 10212 Fayetteville Rd. Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
