She was married to Harold Devoe Sanders for 36 years. Algere worked for Gas Innovations selling welding wire. In her free time she loved going on cruises, traveling, and the QVC Network. She also had a deep love for her family and her work. Algere was a faithful believer in Christ and attended New Hope Church in Manvel, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Bessie Chapman, husband Harold D, brothers Jack, and Sam, sister Doris, and son-in-law Bill Shanks.
Left to cherish Algere's memory are her daughters Carol Ann and Terri, sons Michael and James Dean, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 1 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are: Matthew Shanks, Justin Gorby, Calvin Leonard, Bill Grimm, Gary Binnicker, Wayne Gorby, Michael Leonard, and Cameron Grimm.
