Alvin Logan Perdew

Alvin Logan Perdew, age 91 who resided in Pasadena Texas, passed away April 16, 2023. He was born in Eunice, West Virginia on May 22, 1931 to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin H Perdew. He was married to Patricia Grail (Workman) Perdew for 38 years. He joined the Navy in June of 1949 and reenlisted in March of 1952, serving his country proudly. Alvin was a 60 year member of the Pipefitters local 211. He retired May 22, 1993.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Patricia Gail (Workman) Perdew; parents Hobart and Margaret Perdew; and 5 siblings, Jackie, Allene, Sibyl, Marvin, and Anita Perdew.

He is survived by 3 children (sons) Alvin Eugene Perdew; Ted Brian Perdew and wife Stacy Perdew; and daughter Connie Sue Speaks; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Grandchildren are Bo and wife Heather Perdew and their children Kendall, Easton, and Sutton; Eric and wife Mindy Perdew and their children Erica and Andrew; Dustin Perdew and child Khloey; Corey Perdew; Kellie and husband Ryan Shanley and their children Branson, Sadie, and Sarah; Breece Perdew and child Jaxson Perdew; Katy Perdew and child Aiden Gorom; Rachel and husband Jonathan Belvin and their children Kynlee and Jacy; Tyler and wife Honey Perdew and their child Taeryn Lim; Cassie Smith and wife Ashley Makara; and Avery and Chance Speaks.

Alvin, Dad, Pap, and Pappy-Dew are some of the names we all know him as. Pap had an infectious smile and was willing to lend and hand to anyone in need. His family and grandchildren were his pride and joy. When he wasn't traveling, you could find him at the American Legion Post 521 mingling with friends. He will be missed by so many.
