Amado Palomo Panes, 79, born in the Philippines on July 4, 1947, to Rafael and Florencia Panes, passed away on October 5, 2026. Currently a resident of Seabrook, Texas he was a man whose generosity and steady devotion made a lasting home for those around him—and whose jokester spirit could lighten a room at just the right moment.
Amado loved the water and nature, taking in the world at an easy pace. He enjoyed watching soccer and tennis with great enthusiasm. Deeply devoted to his family and his Catholic faith, he lived with a quiet steadiness, giving freely of himself in ways both large and small.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nelita Linda Panes; his sons, Glenn Panes and his wife Genevieve, Jeffrey Panes and wife Shelita, and Paul Panes and wife Marichar; and his daughter, Helden Panes and her partner Maria. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Trestyn, Jacob, Sebastian, Gyanna, Jaxson, Alex, Sophia, Yehoshua, Lexie, Kassandra, Naomie, and Oakley; his sister, Estefania Bondoc; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 318 Waterfront in Seabrook, Texas on Friday, October 9, 2026 starting at 5 pm and going until Sunday, October 11, 2026, 8 pm.
He will be laid to rest with his parents in the Philippines.
