Anita C. Lopez, born September 23, 1927, in Olmito, Texas, died peacefully at her home, and entered into eternal rest at 4:29 AM on Friday, August 1, 2014. Anita was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Blas Lopez; her parents, Sabas and Florencia Cortez; her brother, Roy Cortez; her sons, Ernesto, Eliceo and Larry Lopez; and her grand-daughter, Anna Guirguis.
She was blessed with loving children and is survived by: Edel Abrego, Elena Sanchez, Esther Puente, Eliberto Lopez, Elida Martinez, Edward Lopez; (20) grandchildren; (42) great-grandchildren; and (15) great-great-grandchildren, all from or near the surrounding Dickinson area.
