Anita was known for her love of the Lord and her husband. She met Sidney in Kerrville, Texas, while they were attending the Kerrville Bible Training Work, which is now known as the South Houston Bible Institute (SHBI). She relished the fact that their home towns were 700 miles apart, but God brought them each halfway to Kerrville so they could meet. They were married June 1, 1951, in Houston. Sidney entered the ministry, and they moved a few times before landing in South Houston where they started Main Street Church of Christ (1959), now known as New Beginnings Church Bay Area. Anita graciously served as the wife of a Minister, Deacon, Elder, and Elder Emeritus. She especially loved the Namikango Mission work and helped proofread the most recent edition of the monthly newsletter just two weeks ago.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Namikango Mission, PO Box 21, South Houston, TX 77587.
